ladera ranch medical office building
The four identical two-story medical office buildings are clustered around a landscaped parking court and pedestrian plaza to create a “town center” campus of buildings in this suburban office development. Design guidelines dictated a “depression-moderne” style with art deco detailing. Utilizing a tilt-up panel construction the buildings were constructed efficiently and cost effectively while achieving the detail of poured in place concrete. Carved and painted foam frescoes were inset into the tilt-up concrete panels above the building entries to simulate terra-cotta panels of the period. The lobbies are finished with figured anigre wood wall panels and marble floor tiles to compliment the exterior design style.
