Sustainable Design
By pursuing both active and passive design strategies, sustainable design is integrated into our design process from the beginning. Sustainable design is considered to be like any other program element where the client's needs and goals are balanced against the project budget to find the appropriate solution. Using computer models and energy use simulations, RCA+A and our consultants help the client understand how the proposed project will perform. Sustainable design can have substantial life-cycle cost benefits. Using the US Green Building Council's LEED rating system, we asses various design options early in the process and develop cost alternatives associated with the different LEED certification levels. RCA+A and our consultants have proven experience in providing LEED review and documentation required for USGBC certification.
